Breaking Barriers: Sensotec's Cutting-Edge Innovations Shine at NFB Convention

Last week, Sensotec found itself amidst the vibrant energy of the NFB (National Federation of the Blind) National Convention in sweltering Orlando. As a crucial meeting place for the blind community in the USA, this convention provided an excellent platform for Sensotec to showcase our groundbreaking technologies and make new connections

Most valued innovations

One of the most notable innovations Sensotec exhibited was the Go-box, a solution that makes TV subtitles accessible to visually impaired and blind people. This technology opens the door to TV viewing for non-native speakers with visual impairments and enjoyed much interest from convention attendees.

Another highlight was the Daisybox, an extremely user-friendly audiobook player that offers audiobooks via streaming to people with reading disabilities. This player allows users to easily access an extensive library of audiobooks, making audio reading an accessible and enjoyable experience.

A third groundbreaking innovation that attracted attention was the NIIRA smartglasses. These smartglasses use echolocation to help blind people navigate public spaces, allowing them to experience more independence and freedom in their daily lives.

Making new connections

During the convention, Sensotec employees Daniel and Ivar were actively making new contacts and strengthening existing relationships. They had the pleasure of meeting in person President Mark A. Riccobono and Ms. Chang Patti, Director of Outreach at the National Federation of the Blind. These were pleasant conversations about the possibilities of collaboration and the future of technological tools.

Visiting ACB Convention

In addition to the NFB Convention, Sensotec staff also attended the ACB Convention in Jacksonville, where they also made interesting contacts with enthusiastic end users and distributors of visual aids.

Positive evaluation

These meetings were not only an opportunity to demonstrate our technologies, but also to receive direct feedback from those to whom they mean the most: the users themselves.

"We are grateful to have been able to attend these important conventions for the blind community," said Daniel, Sensotec's export manager. "The positive feedback and valuable interactions have inspired us and will certainly contribute to our future projects. We remain committed to developing innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for people with visual impairments."

With Sensotec's presence at the NFB and ACB Conventions, we not only pushed technological, but also continental boundaries. We therefore look forward to seeing the impact of this on our future projects.
