In the world of inclusive living, accessibility is not a luxury, but a fundamental necessity. Beyond Braille: A holistic approach to tactile accessibility

Tactile Reading & Graphics goes beyond just Braille. The conference embraces a broad spectrum of tactile solutions, including detailed tactile graphics, intuitive drawings, and even 3D models. This holistic approach is essential to providing students and employees with visual impairments with full access to the world around them. It emphasizes the importance of considering diverse tactile methods to accommodate individual learning and working needs.

Sensotec: Contributing to progress

Sensotec is also involved in the Tactile Reading & Graphics conference, and we are proud of our contribution to the program.

  • Tactonom Reader presentation: Our colleague Jesse Wienholts presents the results of a pilot study with the Tactonom Reader involving several blind/visually impaired students. This presentation demonstrates how technology can make a difference in education by providing personalized learning opportunities.

  • Sensotec Booth: We have a booth where we presented our comprehensive range of solutions for people with visual impairments. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with professionals and advise on the best approach for their specific situations. Our collègues are present to welcome visitors.

  • DAISY Consortium Meeting: Frank Allemeersch is also present for the DAISY Consortium meeting, which underscores our commitment to broad accessibility and collaboration within the industry.
