Since 1986, accessibility has been more than just a mission for Sensotec—it is in our DNA. As we celebrate four decades of growth, we look back at a journey defined by technological breakthroughs and, most importantly, a human-centered approach.
A Culture of Innovation: From Braildec to my Board Buddy
It all began with the Braildec, a revolutionary tool that converted Braille into standard text on a computer screen. Since that first milestone, we have never stopped evolving to meet the changing needs of the blind and visually impaired community.
From global software solutions like OneStep Reader to advanced audio book players, our goal remains unchanged: transforming technology into freedom.
Most recently, the launch of my Board Buddy CAM, in 2026, marked a new era in inclusive education, allowing students to independently navigate and magnify their entire classroom environment. We don't just supply devices; we provide the tools for an independent and fulfilling life.
